Melissa Rhoden joined the firm as an associate in October 2007, bringing a unique background to the firm. Melissa has a diversified practice in the areas of both patent prosecution and litigation, involving patents, copyrights, and trademarks.
Melissa has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of chemical compositions, (e.g., organic and inorganic chemistry), polymer chemistry, material science as applied to chemistry and materials, chemical analysis systems, array systems, spectroscopy systems, and mechanical and biotechnological devices.
Melissa also manages the domestic and international trademark portfolios of several clients. Her trademark work includes trademark applications and prosecution, trademark disputes, and providing opinions and advice on using and registering trademarks and on trademark infringement.
Before joining Thomas|Horstemeyer, Melissa’s experience involved litigation as well as several years working in the pharmaceutical industry.
