David Pointer is a member of the firm’s litigation and patent prosecution groups. David has experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications involving numerous technologies, including cloud computing, mobile applications, networking and wireless communication, Internet of Thing (IoT) devices, wireless power transfer systems, control systems, optical systems, data acquisition systems, battery management, and integrated circuits.
While in law school, David clerked as summer associate for Thomas|Horstemeyer where he supported patent prosecution and patent litigation. He also interned for the Honorable Jane Triche-Milazzo of the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Louisiana and for the Honorable Kenneth Hoyt of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Texas. He was a Graduate Editor on the Journal of Civil Law Studies at LSU. Prior to law school, David worked for Texas Instruments for five years. He held positions in product marketing and application engineering.
