Charles has patent prosecution experience in a wide range of fields, including electrical, optical, mechanical, electromechanical, medical devices, semiconductor materials, and computer technologies. Due to Charles’s technical education and background, he effectively identifies ways to obtain deliver the strongest intellectual property solution. He is well versed in a wide variety of technologies and assists clients in obtaining intellectual property both domestically and abroad. Charles works with clients of all sizes including universities, corporations, individual inventors, and internationally-based businesses.
Charles provides clients with legal opinions on patentability, infringement, validity, and freedom to operate. Charles’ practice also focuses on post-grant patent proceedings at the United States Patent Office and appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
