Michael J. D’Aurelio is a member of Thomas|Horstemeyer’s prosecution section. Mike has extensive experience providing intellectual property legal services for several Fortune 500 companies. Mike has written hundreds of patents for many technologies including printing, imaging, electrical circuitry, power applications, optical/electrical systems, mechanical systems, flow control technologies, data communications technologies, solar cell technologies, RF technologies, and many more technologies.

Mike has also prepared and prosecuted trademark registration applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office and rendered opinions related to patentability, non-infringement, patent invalidity, and other opinions. Mike has also provided a wide range of other IP services to clients including IP agreements such as licenses, confidentiality, IP sales agreements, and other agreements.

In addition, Mike formerly served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law for four years teaching Patent Prosecution I, covering the drafting of patent applications. In this capacity, Mike designed the entire course including creating all classroom textbook materials and the course curriculum. Mike consistently received high performance evaluations from students each year he taught the course.
